(June 6, 2018, 2:35 pm)I would like to commend Bill and his staff on their assistance with claim from the hail storm that came thru Birmingham last May, 2017. I had damage to my Yukon and with my cedar shake roof of my home from the storm. Bill and Jane not only were of great help but when I asked, put me in touch with a contractor that we interviewed and he replaced the roof. A cedar shake roof is not your normal roof, he did a great job and a job that lead to 4 or 5 of my neighbors interviewing and using him. the claim process was a very comfortable one and the adjuster was local and a employee of State Farm. The contractor and adjuster were in agreement with what to do and all went smoothly thru the process.
As to my Yukon, it couldn't have been more easy. After calling Bill, a representative of State Farm called me and set up an appointment to have my auto looked at. They had a claim center set up at the Home Depot on Highway 280 in a tent and were they for 6 weeks. the process was quick, you had an appointment, drove into the tent, an adjuster reviewed the damage, an wrote the check on the spot, in and out in lest than 30 minutes.
Not all companies and agencies provide the service that I have recounted. You need a partner that is responsive, knowledgeable, and proactive to your needs and I have always found Bill and his people to be engaged for my interest when I called.
I have known Bill for over 47 years and have had my personal insurance with him for over 40. While I haven't always agreed with some of the responses from State Farm over the years, when I needed them on this large claim, with Bill's help they were there.
