Risk Management expands the process from just accidental losses but also financial, strategic and operational and other risks. The purpose of Patient Safety in connection with risk management is to provide safe and effective care to the patients by creating a safe environment (Gait, 2006).
Nurses have a pivotal role to play in clinical risk management (CRM) and promoting patient safety in health care domains. Accordingly, nurses need to be prepared educationally to manage clinical risk effectively when delivering patient care.
