I'm looking at signing a lease on an apartment and was given the option of a $750 security deposit or using SureDeposit and paying a fee of $87.50 and paying for any damages found out of pocket after the lease is up. I've never heard of this third party option before and was wondering if anyone has had experience with this.
Upon renting an apartment in Tennessee a year ago, we paid a $99 administration fee and another $350 deposit. We knew the $99 was non-refundable. We just found out today that the other $350 was a SURE deposit and it went to SUREDEPOSIT.COM.
