In May of 2007. The name GUARD Financial Group was assumed by a Clal subsidiary involved in the transaction (which was owned by Clal U.S. Holdings, Inc.). The companies continued to trade under the name GUARD Insurance Group until the group was purchased by National Indemnity Company (a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.) in October of 2012.

I paid them a hefty first payment and then after I dropped them first month, they wrote a letter claiming that I didn't pay and that was why the policy was dropped. I notice that you can not complaint to the insurance regulator about an insurance company if the reason for cancellation was due to non-payment.
