Built in 1966, McIntyre Hall was partially funded by the George F. Jewett Foundation, in addition to a gift from Puget Sound Board of Trustees member Norton Clapp. J. Fritz Jewett, Jr. and alumna Lucy Jewett are the son-in-law and daughter of Charles Edwin McIntyre, for whom the academic building is named. Mr. McIntyre was a Weyerhaeuser executive.
McIntyre Hall is a beautiful, thoughtfully designed place for concerts like George Winston's one-man show which brought us here for the first time. It's comfortable, intimate (compared with Bellingham's Mt. Baker, which seats about twice as many) and relatively new so accoustics and lighting are great.

McIntyre Hall is home to the departments of Sociology and Anthropology, Economics, and the School of Business and Leadership as well as two general access computer labs and the offices of Technology Services. McIntyre Hall. Our largest residential building at the Doheny Campus, McIntyre Hall is a three-story structure featuring large double rooms and graduate single rooms, with a shared full bathroom.
