(July 5, 2019, 12:30 pm)On a recent vacation, my family and I rented a unit in 34 John Hall Dr, Ocean View DE. The condo was so inviting, each room decorated with a warm feel and with all the modern day technologies you need. We have 3 kids aged 4 to 8 and also brought along my mother and aunt (whom has difficulty walking with stage 4 cancer). The first floor was set up basically like a huge hotel room with the second floor being common areas to just chill and relax (and eat). The 3rd story had plenty of room for our children and in fact we didn't even use one of the rooms at all. My aunt didn't have an issue navigating the few steps up to the second floor.
Location: The best part about being at a house as opposed to renting a hotel room is the ability to have a home cooked meal or at least order in. We made several trips 3 minutes down the road to the local Giant store for groceries. Just tell them you're on vacation and you can reap the discounts of their member card. We were 5 minutes drive to the beach with NO traffic at all. I'd recommend avoiding rt 26 and go through muddyneck rd (i think that's what it's called). There are dozens of restaurants within a 5 minutes drive of the condo. You must get donuts from the fractured prune!
POOL!!: This place has a pool! The kids were at the beach all day and would finish off their day's activities with a dip in the pool which is quite large and restricted access to those in the plan. It was an awesome unexpected perk.
Technology: Each room has a smart TV. With being on the East coast, morning comes early and what better way to distract the kids while getting ready for the day than to let them watch TV, (parenting at its best here!). The place was hooked up with Sling Box, i'm not very familiar with that but it acts just like cable. We were able to watch movies and tv live or stream any of the movies the service offers on-demand. The owners also provided other services that could be used or streamed from your phone. REALLY COOL! They also had a google home device in the living area off the dining room. Nice place to listen to some music, have some drinks and relax for the day or start off the morning.
Bethany Beach: What a great place for kids! Boardwalk wasn't crowded, has just what you need for the beach without the massive droves of people like the beaches to the north and south. Be sure to rent an umbrella which is actually very reasonably priced compared to other areas. One tip, if you're going with someone who needs a wheel chair, get there early, go to the lifeguard stand which is located behind the center stage on the boardwalk and get a sand wheel chair. They are free and you can use them as long as they are available. First come first served.
These owners thought of everything. They had beach chairs, boogie boards, a metal detector, sand toys, beach games, etc. There were even some games and cards to play with for those rainy days. We will be going back to this place. Also read the "Welcome Book" when you get there, it is very informative. The owners made us feel so welcomed and part of the family.

(June 20, 2019, 1:43 pm)Me and my family rented 34 John Hall Drive in Bethany Beach! We loved it. The place is huge and great for a multiple families to share on a vacation together. The community is very close to the beach (about 2 miles) and also has a swimming pool too! Its conveniently located near shopping, restaurants and the boardwalk. We had such a great time and can't wait to go back next summer!!
