Review your company's social media policy as well as any agreements you signed when you were hired. Make sure you understand your responsibilities. Make it explicit that you don't represent your company's views. For example, some companies suggest that employees note "all Tweets are mine" on their Twitter accounts.
How Americans have been acting, however, has unfortunately reflected how these so-called leaders have acted, especially on social media. Our constant uploading and sharing of our political views on social media platforms is not contributing to political discourse. Instead, it is contributing to the downfall of actually beneficial discourse.
